Haake, Quirk & Bullas 2024, parkrun and life satisfaction
Six-month study of 548 new UK parkrunners. Mean self-reported life satisfaction rose from 7.49 to 7.75 over six months, with the largest gain (about +0.77) among those least active at baseline. Uncontrolled before-after design with a self-selected sample and no comparison group; the headline cost-effectiveness ratios are modelled estimates spanning a wide range. Moderate.
