Konrad et al. 2022, Foam rolling training effects on range of motion, meta-analysis
Meta-analysis of 11 studies (290 participants, 46 effect sizes) examining chronic foam-rolling training programmes on joint range of motion; found a moderate overall effect (ES=0.823, p=0.001). Programmes exceeding four weeks produced significant gains (ES=1.084), while shorter programmes did not (ES=0.253); hamstrings and quadriceps responded to training but ankle dorsiflexion (triceps surae) did not improve.
