Brown et al. 2017, Compression garments and recovery, a meta-analysis

Meta-analysis of 23 studies on worn compression garments and recovery. A small overall benefit (around 0.38), strongest for strength recovery after resistance exercise and weakest for running; benefits cluster in perceived soreness and fatigue rather than functional recovery markers, and the unblindable nature of a visible garment leaves a likely perceptual component. Moderate overall, limited for running specifically.
