Systematic review, meta-analysis and meta-regression examining the effect of daytime napping on physical performance following normal (not restricted) night-time sleep; found significant improvements in 5-metre shuttle-run highest distance (ES=1.03, p<0.001) and total distance (ES=0.74, p<0.001) and reduced fatigue index (ES=0.84, p=0.008), but no significant effect on muscle force (ES=0.18, p=0.267).
